CONDUCT

Code of Conduct

Behaviour, consent, safety and respect expectations for XTribe events and related interactions.

Effective date: 4 August 2026

XTribe events should feel professional, welcoming and safe. This Code applies to attendees, members, hosts, partners, speakers, vendors and staff during events, related travel and event-linked communication.

1. Expected conduct

  • Treat people with respect regardless of identity, role, company size or business stage.
  • Listen without interrupting, belittling or dominating.
  • Ask before sharing contact details, photographs, stories or private information.
  • Respect a decision not to continue a conversation or discuss a topic.
  • Follow venue, safety, check-in, travel and host instructions.

2. Commercial interaction

Relevant possibilities may emerge, but sales presentations, referrals, lead exchange and immediate commercial commitments are not compulsory. Do not pressure another attendee into considering an offer.

3. Harassment and discrimination

Harassment, threats, discriminatory remarks, intimidation, stalking, unwanted sexual attention, deliberate humiliation and retaliation are prohibited. A person asked to stop must stop immediately.

4. Privacy and recording

Do not secretly record conversations. Photography may occur where an event notice permits it, but reasonable opt-out requests should be respected. Do not publish private conversation or sensitive circumstances without permission.

5. Safety

Do not bring prohibited or dangerous items or interfere with emergency instructions. Tell a host, authorised staff or venue security promptly about a safety concern, emergency, harassment or serious disruption.

6. Reporting

During an event, approach the host or venue security. Afterwards, use the Contact page and select safety, privacy or conduct. Include the event, time, people involved, witnesses and immediate needs.

7. Possible response

  • A reminder or warning.
  • A seating or access change.
  • Removal from the event without refund for a serious breach.
  • Restriction or suspension of community access.
  • Referral to venue security or lawful authorities where necessary.

8. Review

A person affected by an enforcement decision may request review under the Grievance Redressal Policy.
