Community Guidelines
How members ask, answer, message, rate and participate in the XTribe professional community.
Effective date: 4 August 2026
The XTribe community helps business owners, founders and professionals exchange practical experience and continue useful conversations. These guidelines apply to profiles, questions, answers, votes, messages, ratings and reports.
1. People first. Possibilities second.
Understand the person, their work and context before discussing opportunity. Contribution, relevance and consent come before commercial possibility.
2. Accurate profiles
- Use your real identity and current professional information.
- Upload only authorised photographs and company logos.
- Describe services and experience accurately.
- Do not place private contact information in member-visible description fields.
- Do not impersonate a person, business, qualification or achievement.
3. Useful questions
State the decision or challenge, provide context that changes the answer and explain what has already been considered. Do not disguise an advertisement or lead request as a question.
4. Responsible answers
- Explain the context, action, result and limits of your experience.
- Distinguish experience from verified fact and regulated professional advice.
- Disclose a material commercial interest.
- Do not reveal confidential customer, employee or supplier information.
- Do not copy another person’s work without permission.
5. Public visibility
Published questions and answers may be readable without login. Although the signed-out view hides profile identity, the content can still be copied, quoted or indexed. Do not post information that must remain private.
6. Message approval
A request should explain relevant context. The recipient may approve, decline or ignore it. Do not repeat a declined request, move channels without permission or pressure a member to share contact details.
7. Honest ratings
Ratings must reflect a genuine qualifying interaction. They must not be purchased, traded, threatened, fabricated, discriminatory or retaliatory.
8. Not allowed
- Harassment, threats, hate, discrimination, stalking or sexual misconduct.
- Spam, bulk pitching, misleading opportunities or repeated promotion.
- Doxxing, scraping or sharing private conversations without authority.
- Fraud, impersonation, malware or attempts to bypass controls.
- Defamation, knowingly false claims or coordinated rating abuse.
9. Reports and moderation
Use the content report control or the Contact page. XTribe may restrict, redact for safety, unpublish, retain as evidence or remove content, and may warn, limit, suspend or terminate access.
10. Appeals
A member may request review under the Grievance Redressal Policy. Explain the decision challenged and provide new context or evidence.
